They look for stories that feature conflict, narrative, access, and disclosure, international content that will resonate with American readers, cultural stories about the financial industry, and more. The pieces should ideally be 1,000 to 2,000 words long. According to their pitch guide, they pay $1 per word, plus reasonable expenses.
- Elite Personal Finance covers personal finance, business, making money online, saving money, loans, credit cards, identity theft, and credit reports. Writers should aim for between 1,000 and 3,000 words. According to their pitch guide, payment is $300 per guest post.
- The Financial Times is a global news organization that provides insight into markets and politics around the world. They accept guest submissions (of up to 800 words) for the opinion section of their newspaper and website. According to a payment report, they paid $0.41 per word. - Business Insider tells the global tech, finance, stock market, media, economy, lifestyle, real estate, AI and innovative stories. They are looking for freelance articles for their business, tech, and news verticals and for their lifestyle, entertainment, health, or parenting verticals. They welcome pitches of personal essays, as-told-tos, diaries, profiles, how-tos, reported features, and more. They state that ‘’rates vary and are determined by a variety of factors including the amount of reporting and research involved, the length of the article, and the experience of the writer.’’ They do not list pay rates, but a payment report indicates pay to be around $0.40 per word. - Revenue Rulebreaker produces “stories and events about how microentrepreneurs actually make a living online.” They’re seeking timely, super fresh takes that show them an unheard of side to business.
