- POCIT highlights the stories of POC within the sphere of tech and startups. They primarily look for career-focused content but also accept personal essays, opinion pieces, mega-exclusive interviews, and hard-hitting investigative pieces. According to their pitch guide, rates begin at $100 for personal essays. They are not always open to submissions; be sure to carefully check their guidelines before submitting.
- Container is a digital magazine about creative technology. They explore “why and how people use technology in creative ways for social and cultural purposes.” Word length for mid-to-long form feature articles, including investigations is 2,000-3,000 words and 600-1,500 words for first-person essays. According to their pitch guide, they pay £330/1,000 words for written articles.
- T3 is a UK-based print magazine and website that covers laptops, smartphones, audio, gaming, fitness, living, style, travel, and more. They publish news, reviews, guides, and features. - UploadVR is a news organization that offers news, original articles, guides, reviews, and interviews on Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). According to their pitch guide, they pay $50 for news (200–300 words), $100 for mini impressions (400 words), $150 for previews/impressions (500–700 words), $240 for reviews (minimum 800 words), and a minimum rate of $175 for features.
- The Block is a source for all things related to blockchain and crypto. They are seeking cryptocurrency/blockchain/digital currency pitches. According to an old tweet by their managing editor, they pay $200 to $500 per piece. Learn more about them here.
- TechRadar is a UK-based consumer technology news and reviews website. They cover phones, laptops, tablets, wearables, TVs, and more. According to an old payment report, they paid $0.18 per word for a 1,000-word piece. To learn more, read their submission guidelines.
- Honeybadger is an error monitoring company that helps developers find and fix bugs quicker. They are looking for developers to create several series of articles. A series will consist of 3 to 5 stand-alone articles of 500 to 1,000 words each. According to their pitch guide, they pay $500 per article.
